Busking FOR CHANGE
Hey guys,
Recently we decided to become a part of raising awareness and money for an important charity called War Child
All of us with younger siblings, cousins, friends etc, know how beautiful little children are. War is no place for them, our future.
We will be busking in Toronto on Sept 21st at First Canadian Place to help the kids in need, if any of you feel the pull to help this cause please do so by donating online (http://bit.ly/bJWmYG) or by coming out and giving on the 21st.
Thank you all so much!

Paris or India?
Hello everybody,
Miss you all a lot. The studio feels like an island some days and gets lonely.
Were in the thick of this record, feeling like our vision has been realized, now it's just a matter of shading in some parts. Were nervous but excited...
It gets scary as we near completion because some days we second guess ourselves. However, as my mother taught me, I try to remember her words,
"the best you can do is the next right thing."
Remembering this helps to not feel as much weight on out shoulders and reminds us to simply focus on making the most genuine and beautiful art possible, and that's all.
I'm really excited about a song called "Paris or India?"
Speak soon,
Nathan

.A poem called lightning. Asjhjfhdj.
When it hits, you hear thunder and that's it.
Just a flash before you fall. It burns you up and you want nothing
else at all.
Now I find myself walking in the rain,
my umbrella to the sky, trying to retrace all the steps when it
first came.
Looking down, I see holes burned in the ground and
people fallen to their knees, they’re writing poems about the
refuse left to see.
There's a house and its split right down the
seam, I climb up to be in reach and as the clouds roll in, its
here I fall asleep.
I dream lightning will strike me twice.
And make my heart a sacrifice. Oh I'll wait out, through every
storm, for it to come - to love someone - how I loved her.

Oh the weather outside...
I don't remember the last time I took so much down time. Seems like we haven't been working at all since we got off tour right before Christmas. We did fly out for a new years gig, but even that didn't really feel like work. Guess I've picked the right profession...
It was nice seeing my family over the holidays but I woke up this morning in my parents house ready to get back to business, raring to go, only to be thwarted by mother nature. I tried making my way back to Toronto but the highway was closed.
Only then did I abort my driving mission (the white out conditions and snow covered roads should have been enough of a cue to turn around, but we have new music to make and I just couldn't give up without trying...)
For now I'll stick to hot chocolate and amaretto, and give it another go in the morning. Nice feeling looking forward to getting back to work. Wasn't that long ago I was a kid praying for the first day back to school to be a snow day.
